TIGER LOVE AND OTHER ANIMAL STORIES is an invitational art exhibition
that brings together contemporary artists with advocates for the
humane treatment of animals and wildlife protection. The exhibition
in Montreal, Canada, from August 8-20, 2005, showcases the artworks
and celebrates the work of Born
Free.
The Born Free Foundation's work in international environmental
campaigns and large-animal rescues was a direct inspiration for
this exhibition and auction. The works in the exhibition, by ten
emerging Canadian artists, portray love, curiosity or ambiguous
feelings inspired by animals both wild and those closer to home.
All art works will be offered for auction on eBay from August 12
to August 18, 2005.
For auction information, please go to the auction
info page. 30% of the proceeds from the on-line auction will go
to Born Free.
If you're in Montreal you can view the works at galerie nota bene,
3416 av du parc (map)
from August 8 to 20.
